This is seriously the prettiest bag I’ve ever seen! *in love*
And the price you asked? Well, $195 - not that bad right?
But the problem is, where the heck do I supposed to buy this cutie?
I’ve been searching for it EVERYWHERE online, but seems like they all don’t have it.
Maybe I should really go to NORDSTROM this weekend, and… dig in. lol.
SIGH. HELP!
Son Ye Jin is the main reason, and could be the only reason of why I’ve been waiting for “Spotlight” since late last year. And yet, though the series that premiered yesterday couldn’t hold people’s interests (thus, the low ratings for its 1st episode — only around 6% reported by TNS Media), I was so excited to see Son Ye Jin back in TV drama again. Especially after her previous work, “Alone in love” was excellent.
However, I’m still not sure if Spotlight has what it takes to boost its ratings next week, now that On Air has come to an end. Especially when we’ll have SBS Iljimae with strong casts behind us (fans can’t wait to see Lee Jun Ki back on small screen again, though his latest drama ended not too long ago)
On Dec 12 ‘2007, Yovie Widianto came back with his newest album titled “The Special One”. In this 5th album, Yovie is still with the Nuno band, but this time, they only use “Nuno” (instead of “The Nuno”), thus become “Yovie & Nuno”. With this change of name, the band members have changed as Gail (vocal), Ersta (bass) and Rere (drum) officially quit the band. Now, Nuno consists of Dudi (vocal), Diat (guitar) and Dikta (vocal). Dikta joined the band mid of last year, and this 22yr old guy used to be in one of those indie bands in Jakarta.
Like a chef, Yovie has his own recipe of how he produces his music. The secret is in the way he composes his work, where harmony and rhythm became the most important elements. And the music arrangement is built uniquely to bring the light and communicative impact. There are 11 songs in this album each with different themes and romantic lyrics.
The song “Guarding Heart” (Menjaga Hati) which is the first hit single, we can enjoy the beautiful and catchy music. The harmony of each vocal blends so well with Dudi, who has lower local, in harmony with Dikta, who has more tenor vocal range. This song tells the faithfulness of a lover for his beloved one.
Another romantic song, “Janji Suci” (Holy Promise) has the beautiful melodic piano solo and string. “I want to to marry you… for the first and the last, one thing my heart knows for sure, I’d be the best for you…” From this lyric is how Yovie got inspired to give the album title, “The Special One.” We can also enjoy more ballads like “Dia Milikku” (She’s mine) and “Seperti Bintang” (Like a star)
As we can see, Yovie’s music is inspired from the 80s rock like Toto and Phil Collins. The harmony from that era is what influenced him in composing “Sejuta Cinta” (A thousand love). It’s like Toto meets John Mayer, but of course with Yovie’s own music legacy.
Yovie (39) is known as the founder of the famous band Kahitna and also one of the members of the Latin-Jazz band, Indonesia 6. He founded The Indonesia Harmony Orchestra where he works as the producer and conductor. He has also succeeded in making some of Indonesia’s well-known band artists like The Groove, Rio Febrian, Audy, and Glen Fredly’s album also produced by Yovie. His life motto is “keep the good music & keet the spirit high.”
masih tertinggal bayanganmu your shadow still remains
yang telah membekas di relung hatiku marked in the depth of my heart
hujan tanpa henti seolah pertanda endless rain is like a sign
cinta tak di sini lagi love is here no more
kau tlah berpaling you’ve turned away
chorus:
biarkan aku menjaga perasaan ini, ohh let me guard this feeling, ohh
menjaga segenap cinta yang telah kau beri guarding all the love you gave
engkau pergi, aku takkan pergi you left, i’m not leaving
kau menjauh, aku takkan jauh you walked away, i’m not walking away
sebenarnya diriku masih mengharapkanmu the truth is, i still have hopes on you
masih adakah cahaya rindumu is the light of your longing still there?
yang dulu selalu cerminkan hatimu that used to reflect your heart
aku takkan bisa menghapus dirimu i can’t ever erase you
meski ku lihat kini although now i see
kau di seberang sana you are (across) there
repeat chorus
andai akhirnya if in the end
kau tak juga kembali you don’t come back
aku tetap sendiri i’m still alone
menjaga hati guarding (my) heart
repeat chorus [3x]
sejujurnya diriku masih mengharapkanmu the truth is, I still have hopes in you
It’s been such a loooong while since I last saw Kimura Takuya (also known as Takuya Kimura, or kimu-taku) in a dorama (Japanese for “drama”; usually use to call a Japanese drama). So when I read about his new upcoming drama, “Change” by FujiTV, and he’s playing as the Prime Minister, it felt like Christmas.
And now, it’s the day after the first premiere of this highly anticipated dorama of the season, it’s only right for me to rave about it. (Though without subtitles, I can only understand body-language lol, but that doesn’t really matter as long as kimu-taku is there <3 teehee.)
Actors Son Ye Jin and Ji Jin Hee will appear as city desk reporters in the new drama “Spotlight” tonight on MBC.
With MBC’s new drama “Spotlight,” viewers will get a glimpse into the lives of broadcast news reporters covering the city beat.
“Spotlight” depicts the journey toward success of a passionate city desk reporter Seo Woo Jin, played by top actress Son Ye Jin. Ji Jin Hee from the hit drama “Jewel in the Palace” (Dae Jang Geum) will star as her strict, yet caring mentor, Oh Tae Seok. The drama will follow Seo’s drudge through the grind to eventually become an anchorwoman.
At the press conference held last week in southern Seoul, reporters and camera crews swarmed the room for a shot of Son.
“Spotlight” is the first drama in two years for Son, 26, who has starred in movies like “The Classic” (2003) and “The Art of Seduction” (2005).
“I read the synopsis and had a strong impression. I especially liked the fact that (Seo Woo Jin) continues to strive to achieve her dreams. I was captivated by her passion and energy,” Son said.
A short clip of the drama drew laughter among reporters when Ji said “You call yourself a reporter?” hinting that the crew meant it when they said they were aiming for a “real” reporter drama.
“We tried to break away from the cliche love scenes this time. We focused more on their stress as human beings and reporters, not just their affections toward each other,” said Lee Kee Won, the writer of the drama. Lee tasted success last year with his strong presentation of the political world of doctors through the medical drama, “The White Tower (2007).”
Producer Kim Do Hoon explained that reality was of foremost importance in “Spotlight.” “We’ll be showing episodes that might really happen in real life. I think this is hard because we never had a drama like this before. Being the first is always difficult because there isn’t much to compare with.”
The actors also mentioned their share of reality, as many of them actually spent their days and nights with real reporters.
“I followed a reporter for a day. At first, I didn’t believe it when they told me they didn’t have time to bathe. But I realized they really didn’t have the time to even wash their face,” said Jin Gu who plays fellow reporter Lee Soon Cheol.
As top celebrities, actors bump into reporters frequently, whether they enjoy it or not. When asked if their opinions toward them changed, Ji Jin Hee admitted that it was all about the choice of words.
“I realized the importance of my words. The right words can turn you into a hero but using the wrong words will have you fall. I told myself to be careful from now on,” he laughed.
“I started to understand their struggle to capture the truth for the public. Now I feel very pressured,” Son added.
This is the first time for a television program to solely delve deep into the lives of broadcast news reporters, although there were some dramas and movies that briefly introduced the profession. In order to bring reality to the small screen, some scenes were shot at the real MBC News Desk set in Yeouido, Seoul, while MBC city desk news reporters will be adding reality by appearing as well.
“We’ll introduce the dilemmas reporters face as people with feelings and also as people who have to dig out the truth. There is a symbiotic relationship between the two,” Son said.
JAZZHOLIC for all that jazz
and everything in between, above and beyond.
